Julian’s Background
Julian Hebron is a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS) with 12 years of experience in finance. He’s currently in his eighth year with RPM Mortgage, the largest private mortgage bank in the Bay Area, as a mortgage consultant and branch manager. Before RPM he was Director of Marketing for UBS Global Asset Management (formerly Brinson Partners), one of the world’s largest money managers.

Julian is the editor of The Basis Point^®, a consumer finance and real estate blog. He has been writing about markets, housing and investing for 12 years. Julian received a BA in Communications from San Diego State University. His CMPS credential requires annual curriculum and examinations on real estate investment strategy, family lifecycle planning, taxation, market analysis, and regulation.

Julian lives in San Francisco with his wife and son.

In addition to an internal team of underwriters and funders, Julian works with his full time Client Service Manager Jamie Wiley on every client and transaction. Prior to teaming up with Julian in July 2008, Jamie was in this same role for one of the Bay Area’s top loan producers for 10 years.

Julian has close relationships with Realtors, accountants, financial planners, attorneys (family law, trusts/estates, etc.), exchange companies, and escrow officers. He works with these partners to best advise clients and ensure transactions run smoothly.
