I grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from Santa Clara University with a major in Accounting. After graduating I went on to work for PriceWaterhouse Coopers in their audit department and obtained my CPA License. At PwC my main client was Yahoo and there I learned the important lesson of working hard and having fun.
In 2001 my interest in surfing and outdoor activities led me to San Diego. I became the Controller of a Mortgage Company and shortly after started my own Company, Proffer Financial. During my five years of owning Proffer, in addition to originating over $350M in loan volume a year, we received such accolades as
• #4 Largest broker in San Diego- SD Business Journal
• 2006- Best Place to Work in San Diego- SD Magazine
• Most Dependable Mortgage Broker- Spirit Magazine- Southwest Airlines- Goldmine Research
In 2007 I partnered with Residential Pacific Mortgage in order to take advantage of their exceptional mortgage banking platform and other services. I have also changed my focus from building a mortgage company and managing production to build my own personal business and focus more on my own clients. I realized that the mortgage industry was lacking professional, hard working loan officers. I felt that with my background and with the tools that RPM provided I could offer a lending experience that has previously not been available in our industry.
In addition to my love for outdoor sports like skiing and surfing. My wife Jenny and I enjoy our time together traveling as much as possible. I am also on the board of directors of the Encinitas YMCA, a member of the Residential Real Estate Committee as the University of San Diego, a member of Vistage International, a CPA and a CA Mortgage Broker. I am also an active Real Estate investor.
